WHAT ADDITIONAL COSTS CAN I EXPECT?

I do my best to give you a full cost outlook of each item, but additional costs such as storage, shipping, installation, or unexpected labor do occasionally happen.


DO YOU WORK WITH CONTRACTORS? 

I work with the contractors hired by the client.  I love working with other design professionals to create your custom space. I prefer to use professionals that I have worked with on previous projects.  JENNI BELLO DESIGNS does not provide contractor services; so independent architects and contractors hired by the client are an integral part of the process.


HOW LONG DO PROJECTS NORMALLY LAST? 

This depends on the scope of the project and what is purchased. Occasionally there are delays caused by weather, vendor vacations, factory errors, and other unpredictable influences that are out of my control. Everyone involved: designer, client, vendors and contractors are expected to not cause unreasonable delays in the project. We can only give you an estimate once we know more about your project requirements.


HOW DO YOU CHARGE?

Package breakdown and fees are emailed to you after the initial consultation meeting.


HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

Once you’ve attended our initial consultation meeting, a link to shop desirable packages would be sent to you.

 
CAN I CHANGE MY MIND AFTER AN ORDER IS PLACED?

Most often orders cannot be canceled or refunded. In the event that a full refund can be attained you may cancel the order and receive a refund for the cost of the item minus the purchasing fee and any other applicable fees. Custom orders are non returnable.  Requests for returns and cancellations will be billed hourly.  Design Fees and reimbursable expenses are non-refundable, even when associated with a return or cancellation. 

 
WHEN ARE PAYMENTS DUE?

Once you decide to get your project started (post signing of contracts) you will be invoiced 50% of your package fee upfront, and the balance will be due prior to you receiving our curated shopping and product information list. Invoices for extra services and reimbursable expenses are due within 14 days.

 
WHAT IF I HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT AN ITEM?

Please bring these to my attention immediately and we will discuss your concerns and if necessary, find a more desirable solution.  The decision about what is purchased and installed in your home is ultimately yours.  


WHAT ABOUT BUDGET?  

Having a clear budget is very important for the project running smoothly and for your expectations to be met.  We will work inside your budget parameters, but ultimately it is up to the client to keep themselves on budget.  


E-DESIGN FAQs 


WHAT IS E-DESIGN?

E-design is in a nutshell interior design done electronically. So rather than meeting and visiting you in your property, we’ll work and collaborate together online to do this and create a design plan that you’ll be able to shop and implement yourself. 


CAN I USE YOUR E-DESIGN SERVICE IF I DON'T LIVE IN ENGLAND?

E-design bridges the in-person communication gap so the simple answer is yes. However there are areas to consider such as the availability of local furniture vendors we are accustomed to at JENNI BELLO. Please contact us to discuss how this can affect your project.


WHAT IS THE E-DESIGN PROCESS LIKE?

I.INITIAL CONSULTATION MEETING

We’ll kick off the process by attending an initial virtual meeting with you to understand your needs and requirements. This can be up to 30mins. You’ll be expected to provide us with as much information as possible in the questionnaire we would have sent to you. We will look at pictures and videos of the space at the meeting. 

II.AGREEMENT & CONTRACTS

Once you’ve decided to work with us, we’ll go over and have you select a design package that is most suitable to you. At this stage we’ll have you go through our contract and agreement and if it's suitable, you’ll need you to sign & send back the contract to us.


III.CONCEPT

Based on the agreed number of concept designs from the selected package, we’ll present concept designs with an agreeable amount of revisions from you. This process would be shared on JENNI BELLO’s client portal so you’ll have an opportunity to provide comments and feedback on our portal.


IV. PRODUCT INFORMATION & SHOPPING LINKS  

Once a concept design has been agreed and finalised,  we’ll send you a shopping list with comprehensive details that you need to make your purchases and get the space all set up. 


V. HAND OFF

We just don't leave you alone, up to an agreed amount of periods, we’ll provide detailed guidelines on implementing your new design Should you have questions, need clarifications or need a little hand-holding we’ll be there to provide advisory support.


HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Simply click on the “ Book a consultation” tab on our website and schedule an initial consultation meeting time with our designer. Before your consultation you will receive a link to pre-populate a questionnaire to give us more information on your project details beforehand at the meeting.


WHAT IF I DECIDE MID-PROJECT I WANT TO ADD MORE ROOMS? 

Since I work on a “per room” basis, increasing the scope is not a problem.

WITH THE E-DESIGN, WILL A DESIGNER COME TO MY HOUSE TO SET EVERYTHING UP FOR ME?

The e-design service provides you with the plan, and you can implement it as time and budget allows.  However you can purchase our one-ff ONSITE STYLING add-on service to have a designer come to your property to style your furniture piece. Please note that the designer would not be responsible for mounting flat packed furniture pieces. Also Properties located more than 40 KM from HQ will incur additional travel costs.

HOW DOES YOUR CONCIERGE SERVICE WORK?

With our concierge ordering service, we arrange purchase and delivery of furnishings and other items purchased on behalf of the Client for the Project. Full deposit is required for each item and only upon receipt of payment would we place order. All Items purchased  go into a licensed, bonded, insured and climate controlled warehouse awaiting installation.  Use this option if you do not want to deliver items directly or on multiple trips to your home.  Clients are responsible for all shipping, storage, & delivery fees.


WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE THE DESIGN SUGGESTIONS?

It’s very important that we get your project briefing and ideas accurately from the beginning so we can design your space according to your style. It’s possible and very normal in a creative process that you might not love everything at first, and that’s why within the process you are allowed to have an agreeable amount of amends until you are entirely happy with the end result of your project
